We offer a free initial consultation to walk the client through the process, and our experienced lawyers will make sure that every step of the way goes smoothly, whether the client requires foreign branch licensing, investment licenses, or new company registration. We have a wide array of experiences dealing with business licenses and permits from every ministry and government agency in Iraq.

-          Providing legal advice is another of our specialties. We provide a full suite of legal services to companies including managing legal and regulatory matters with Iraqi authorities, legal representation and legal services in the fields of commercial transactions, public finance, labor, taxes, investment, public-private partnerships, international trade, contracts, and others.

-          Legal assessment and due diligence is an essential step for any company or organization before making major decisions. We can do an assessment to ensure that company plans and asset values are in compliance with Iraqi law, and can also screen financial statements using analysts certified in Iraq, and internationally.

-          Research and legal translation are value added services that Bayt al-Hikmah is happy to provide. We employ a number of certified legal translators that facilitate the complicated task of ensuring  documents make the transition between languages, including English, Arabic, French, and Kurdish. We also have a rare database of Iraqi laws stretching from 1914, and have talented researchers working for us ready to answer any question or provide support on any legal project.

Advisory Services

Capacity building is another potential service of Bayt al-Hikmah. Our national and international partners have experience with legal training and supporting rule of law-focused programs in Iraq. We provided training in public financial management, including contracting, and techncial support. Bayt al-Hikmah can also help design and implement private sector development projects.

Consulting during the planning stage of projects is also available. Having an expert with local knowledge can mean the difference between success and failure early on.
